An upcoming sychroblog + link hopping

I’ll be participating next week in something called a synchroblog. That’s where a number of blogs all post responses to the same question on the same day. Our question will be, “What is the single most important initiative that the next administration should undertake to improve the economic health of the U.S. middle class?”

Kinda intimidating. Me? try to think of something that the U.S. government can do to improve the economic health of the middle class? But I’ll be giving it a shot.

One thing that many of us in the U.S. can do to try and improve things is vote. Voter registration deadlines are coming up as early as TODAY, October 4th for the general election. So if you’re not registered to vote, don’t delay. (You have to be 18 by November 4th in order to register for this election.)

Now on to a few links…

ABCs of Investing starts things out by explaining what a stock is.

Clever Dude bites the bullet and takes a look at his investments.

Canadian Capitalist talks about reasons to bail out Wall Street.

MoneyNing lists 10 activities we can all do relating to the economy.

The Personal Financier restrains himself from investing in the stock market.

Finally, if you’d like some non-stock-related reading, there are plenty of great posts in the festival of frugality, and Geezeo was nice enough to interview me.
