Ask a different question

A new article is posted each day on Blunt Money, where you get plain talk about money and personal finance. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I think that sometimes we get so stuck on asking ourselves the same question over and over again that it just doesn’t occur to us that we could be asking something different.

For example, instead of asking “How am I ever going to get out of debt?” maybe we could ask “What can I do to get a raise at work?”. Or even, “What does my ideal life/dream job look like?”.

Instead of focusing on something that’s draining, we can focus on something that gives us hope.
