Audacious goals
For awhile now I’ve had some audacious goals in mind. I’ve talked about one of them previously already (going to Antarctica) but now it’s time to actually write them down AS goals.
You see, I really want them to happen. For me the first step toward making goals happen is writing them down and believing that they are possible.
These goals might seem kind of out there, but that is the point of being audacious. (I’m thinking of audacious in the sense of “extremely original; without restriction to prior ideas”.)
So here are my audacious goals:
- Earn $40 million a year.
- Take a vacation to Antarctica.
- Buy & redevelop a shopping center.
- Endow a scholarship.
- Switch to using all renewable, non-environmentally destructive energy sources.
Do you have any audacious goals? Maybe even something that might cause people to roll their eyes and say “oh, sure, I’d like to make forty million dollars too”? If so, I’d love to hear about them.

I’d like to be worth more than 100 million dollars I’d also like to own a space hotel one day (though I think that might cost more than 100 million dollars). I’ve got a few more as well but for some reason they’re incredibly pricey.
On the slightly more reasonable side – I’d like to climb mount Everest.

I’m not sure that I have any goals that aren’t audacious!
My current audacious goals are:
1) Write a best selling novel.
2) Live the life of a wealthy and eccentric philanthropist.
3) Own a sweet sailboat.
4) Train my cats to be ninjas.
Right now, #4 is looking like it’s the most achievable :)

Ooo, I like all these goals. (And I want to see the ninja cats.)

Haha, as I only started my personal finance blog yesterday, I’ve only got a realistic goal at the moment, which is to clear my personal debt by 31 August 2010!! I love your goals, though!!
