Buy Nothing Day

Tomorrow is the annual Buy Nothing Day (In North America, at least. Elsewhere Buy Nothing Day is Saturday November 24th.) What is Buy Nothing Day? From wikipedia, it’s “an informal day of protest against consumerism observed by social activists.” Basically, you “participate by not participating”. Don’t go shopping, don’t line up for the Black Friday bargains, etc. The main idea is to get people to think about consumerism, and to realize that every choice makes a difference. The UK Buy Nothing Day site seems to have the most information, so I’m linking to that.
