I made money doing nothing!
That’s what I say to myself every time I get my interest statement or see that the balance in my investment accounts has gone up. I don’t know, I guess I’m easily amused. Doesn’t that sound so much more appealing than “save your money” though?
But saving/investing your money IS essentially making money doing nothing. All you have to do is let it sit there and grow; maybe give it a little nudge in the right direction now and then.
Of course, you probably have to work for it in the first place at a job or in a business, but every penny that you put away while you’re doing that is out there working for you instead of the reverse. It also helps if you continue to “do nothing” by NOT spending your money on things that you didn’t know you needed til you saw the advertisements for it.

So True, So True and this my friend is the “secret” of wealth. If everyone could embrace this early, debt would not exist.

It’s hardly ‘doing nothing’. It took a commitment from you to do something with the money in order for it to grow. It seems like the easiest thing possible, yet so many people don’t take the opportunity to have their money work for them.
