Money-related podcasts

I listen to a lot of different podcasts, and am always on the lookout for money- or personal finance-related ones. I like podcasts because I can listen and learn while doing other things at the same time, whenever is convenient for me. (Note that even if you don’t have an iPod or MP3 player, you can usually listen to podcasts right on your computer.)

Here are a few that I’ve found:

APM Marketplace Money – Marketplace Money covers listener questions and both personal and broader money-related stories that are often sparked by current events.

Brian Preston’s Money-Guy Podcast – Brian comes at personal finances from the perspective of a financial planner. He often comments about current events, but also goes into detail about a variety of financial topics.

Consumerism Commentary Podcast – Hosted by Tom Dziubek, the Consumerism Commentary podcast covers personal finances topics while interviewing bloggers and financial experts.

The Dave Ramsey Show – You can get about an hour of Dave Ramsey’s call-in radio show for free as a podcast. The podcast consists of listeners asking (usually-debt-related) questions, Dave occasionally ranting about something, and people doing their debt-free screams once a week.

Frugal Coast 2 Coast – This is a radio show (where you can call in live) that’s rebroadcast later as a podcast. It’s run by Jenn of Frugal Upstate and Lynnae of Being Frugal. They chit-chat about a variety of money-related topics, have guests, and answer questions.

Internet Business Mastery – As you might guess from the name, the Internet Business Mastery podcast is focused on internet businesses and ways to improve them — all while encouraging you to focus on your definite major purpose. I love their ideas and tips. The podcast is always inspiring.

No Credit Needed – Although NCN doesn’t put out new episodes very often, I enjoy them when he does. They’re usually heavy on the personal side of personal finance; talking directly about what’s going on in his life money-wise.

NPR: Planet Money – Planet Money breaks the economy down into bite-sized pieces, answers questions, and just plain has interesting stories.

The Personal Finance Hour – Also a radio show that is rebroadcast, the Personal Finance Hour is put out by JD of Get Rich Slowly and Jim of Bargaineering.com.
