This is true in all areas of life. I have all the jobs I have gotten just by asking. One example I was working in a bank and I really liked a customer and one day I asked if he had any openings and he made one for me. I say the worst they can do is say no and you wont' know if you don't ask. Be bold. A friend of ours has a house in Florida and I wanted to stay there a few nights and I called and was pleasantly surprised when she anytime and we had a wonderful stay. I totally agree.
