Our priority list for the year
A new article is posted each day on Blunt Money, where you get plain talk about money and personal finance. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
We’ve got a whole host of things that we’d like to buy over the coming year, so we took a page from the 20 Year Challenge and made up a priority list. Here’s what we have in mind, in the order that we plan to do/purchase them:
- Bridge (for husband’s teeth)
- Shelf in kitchen (this just requires buying a few boards & doing some work…)
- Car stereo for husband (although this may be removed, since he’s not sure yet if he still wants it)
- Replace kitchen door (it’s warped and drafty)
- Replace sliding door and the 2 remaining windows
- Tear out and re-tile master shower
- Add attic insulation
- Slipcovers for couch (Does anyone want two sweet cats?!)
- Create a workspace for my husband
- Refinish my desk
There are also a few more low priority (but expensive) items that I haven’t listed here. I had to laugh as we were talking about one of them: I moved “replace door from garage to backyard” to the low priority section, explaining that it was “just ugly & broken, but otherwise it’s fine”. I guess by “fine” I really meant “not bothering me much”. Hey, this is how I spend less money sometimes!

You’re not really giving away the cats, are you? : )

Well, not because of the couch. I would like to find someone local to take them though, because of allergies. But I feel bad :(
