Random gifts
I saw an image on postsecret last week that started out, “Every year I take $200 out of my account, split it up, & sent it to random people on my campus…”
I like the idea of randomly (and anonymously) giving gifts to total strangers. It’d be sort of like finding money on the street for them, except without the wondering if there was any way to find the owner.
Have you ever done anything like this or been the recipient of a random gift from a stranger? What was it like?

I have had this happen to me twice.
Once I was waiting in line with my kids to see a movie, and a man handed me four movie tickets and just walked away.
Another time, I was at the theater with my kids, seeing Singing in the Rain, and it was intermission….the kids all wanted snacks…and when I saw the price of the snacks, I said no we will get one thing and all share….and some man, gave me $20 and walked away–I went to say I can’t accept this…and he was gone.
My kids were pretty young when this happened…it was very nice though….

I didn’t receive money but I got a cookie. A lady gave it to me because her kid was full. I thought that was nice of her.

I have been on both sides of this fence. There is no better high on earth!
It is an incredible experience. The look on people’s faces if you are gifting…they are always speechless.
If you are the recipient, it is as if your own angel just handed you a million bucks. Not only do you get that feeling then, but you get it every time you tell someone about it. And, you should tell about it as often as possible. It helps others believe and you are exercising LOA, because everytime you feel that feeling you are closer to a repeat experience.
As rstlne said, it doesn’t have to be money. My favorite gift is to let the person behind me in the check out line go ahead of me. They always keep looking back at me, wanting to say something but not knowing what to say. Or maybe they are just trying to figure out why someone would do that.
Looking for ways to gift is a fun way to go through life. I do it everyday! It’s kind of like a secret obsession that I don’t feel guilty about.
It is especially helpful when I am having a bad day. If someone has been critical of me or I am just kind of down on myself I will just go out into the world, the library or someplace that I can gift something other than money just for the purpose of changing my negative state.
It is life changing!!!!!!!!!!!
