So after a day of not reading the news at all, I came home to a list of interesting headlines on CNN:
Dow has worst day in 5 years
NYSE officials can’t account for plunge
Technical glitches plagued selloff
Make a drop work for you
It’s the last one that interests me most. How can I make this drop work for me? I’ve got to tell you, this makes the third very big drop in the stock market I’ve been alive for, so I doubt I’ll ever have stocks as the biggest part of my portfolio. It just seems too risky to me. But…it seems to me that now’s the time to buy. What do you think?

I think the stock market in general is too volatile, people overreact on any type of news. I think diversification is still the way to beat the market.
