I go to a women I met through a friend, she works from her home, I do cut, color, blow dry for 50 bucks every 10 weeks. Its great!

I’ve been going to the Paul Mitchell School for years now. Sometimes, it’s a bit comedic, but the kids always to a grand job. It’s a fraction of what I normally pay and well worth the effort. I swear, finding a good, affordable stylist is harder than finding a good mate!

I go to someone’s house–someone who I now consider a friend. She does a great job and at a great price, plus I love visiting with her. I don’t color my hair anymore, I’m letting it grow grey. That saves money, but just as important, the annoyance of roots–ugh! I love shampooing my hair now and not worrying about color coming out. I don’t think it looks so bad, either. It does take getting used to, though. I only have a trim every couple of months or so.

I’m in the same boat as you. I currently drive about 20 mins to pay $50 for just a cut. I only do it about twice a year, at most, though. And I love “my girl” so I’m sticking with it for now.
