Taxes and twitter
Let’s just call this tax week around here. It seems like all I’ve been doing is working on taxes. But at least I finally got our federal taxes done yesterday. And I owe, which wasn’t a surprise. Still, I liked having the money in my bank account better. Now to move on to the taxes for the states…
In keeping with the tax theme, here are a couple of tax-related posts:
One Caveman says not to squander your tax refund. This is great advice.
And Money Under 30 explains what happens if you owe taxes and can’t pay.
I also finally hopped on the bandwagon and joined twitter. You can (I think) follow me by going to http://twitter.com/bluntmoneyblog. I don’t know what I’m doing with it yet, but if you know you can always explain it to me!
One thing I did learn via twitter is that ChristianPF has a post about trading in old cell phones for an Amazon gift card. Sounds handy if you have any of those lying around.
In other articles, Canadian Capitalist points out that you can now download the Richest Man in Babylon because it’s now in the public domain. (So there’s another book to add to my list.)
The Strump has some interesting thoughts on being poor.
BeingFrugal is looking for some good customer service stories. If you have any, go cheer her up with them! (Or if they’re recent, write to the company and heap praise on the people who did a good job. You’ll make their day.)

Thanks for mentioning my article. It’s a shame when people waste their tax refunds when they could use that money to make a real difference in their lives.
