Update on compromised credit card
Last month I noticed fraudulent charges on one of my credit cards. I have no idea how someone got the number, but they did. I’d called up the company and quickly received a temporary card. The temporary card expires at the end of this month, so I gave them a call to see when I would be receiving my permanent card. Turns out that they had sent it out nearly 3 weeks ago. I don’t know where it went, but I never got it. Oops.
So they will be changing my credit card number again and repeating the process. I should have the NEW temporary card by Monday, and the replacement replacement card about a week after that. Lesson learned: ask for specific time frames — don’t just assume that it’ll be awhile in coming. Possibly I also need to figure out what’s happening with our mail…
