Watching that line plummet
I used dinkytown’s mortgage payoff calculator and am now even more excited about paying off our mortgage early. Turns out that the extra payments that we have in mind are right on target for meeting our goal of having the mortgage paid off by 2011. I really like how the chart’s “balance with prepayments” line just plummets down. And, we’ll be saving a little over $92,000 this way. Not to mention 22 years of “having” to work for our house.
