		<description>I think there&#039;s definitely some truth to what you&#039;re saying, but as someone who&#039;s not mechanical in any way, I generally don&#039;t have a whole lot of interest in learning how to fix things if they involve a lot of taking apart or use of tools (I&#039;d rather spend my time making cards or cooking, both of which are money-saving hobbies). My husband isn&#039;t very mechanically inclined either, but we recently decided that if we&#039;re throwing out something we might as well take it apart and show our 2 1/2 year old the inside. Of course, this didn&#039;t work with the first thing we tried - it&#039;s impossible to open up a Brita faucet filter without a power tool!</description>
