Why did I even look?
I saw this headline yesterday: “Stocks sink on ’87 crash anniversary” and thought, hm, let’s see what that did to my IRA. Well let’s just say that the NAV is now back to what it was in about November of 2006. It’s like that money I’ve been feeding it every month since April never even happened. It’s…oh nevermind.
Presumably I won’t be taking it out for another 25 or 30 years, so why did I even look?
As a side note, I can’t believe Black Monday was 20 years ago already.
